During the time evacuees were sent to Bedford, my sister and I met and had great fun with two sisters, Lily and Violet Page.  When the war was coming to a close their parents came to take them back to London.  I think of them often and would dearly love to contact them. I believe they had an elder sister Daisy and their mother was Rose.

I have been taking the ERA mag. for several years now  and have never seen a mention of Brinkworth in Wiltshire or of anyone who was evacuated there.  Surely I am not the only one left.! September 1st 1939 I was evacuated from Holborn Rd School, London, E.13. Amongst those I remember are Peter & Doreen Melia, Reg Eppey, Clifford Cole, Jim Haley, John Lewis, Margaret Woodcock, Jean Hamilton and  Mary, Margaret & Frances Seaman,( triplets). I would love to hear from any of them or anybody else who may remember me or my sister, who was  with me. David  Arnold, email:   david.gillian@cookroad11.freeserve.co.uk          11/12/06
